  • Drawn to Life: Animation in Nature

    Since 2016, over 2,500 students have participated in my "Drawn to Life" animation workshops hosted by the District School Board of Niagara's Living Campus, an outdoor education centre located at Woodend Conservation Area (Niagara Falls, Ontario). These workshops are supported by the Ontario Arts Council's "Artists in Communities & Schools Projects" grants.

  • CAMMAC Pandemic Initiatives

    CAMMAC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage people of all ages to experience the joy of making music together in a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment. Our normal activities include a wide array of educational programming at our Music Centre in Quebec, a summer concert series and regional activities such as sight readings, concerts and much more.

  • Virtual Dance Recital

    'Virtual dance recital' that we put together in April/May 2020. When dance studios had to close mid-March, we were right in the thick of recital preparation and with the uncertainty at the time, didn't know how to proceed. We ended up teaching several levels of a dance combination and sharing it over video.

  • MINDFULNESS in MAY 2021: The Art of Kindness Exhibition

    What is kindness? And how do youth interpret it as an art form?

    That was the focus of a two-week youth art exhibit organized by Port Renfrew artist Diane Moran in partnership with Amber Academy Youth Fine Art Society, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Sooke School District and Sooke Arts Council.

  • VIBE Bloom

    At the core of our organization, VIBE works to support artists and spread arts education to those who need it most. In an effort to continue our mission in the face of the COVID-19 Pandemic, VIBE launched 4 new programs to employ artists, inspire communities and keep the arts flowing through the lives of people in Ontario.

    Here at Remai Modern, our Learning and Engagement team has adjusted its approach to art education due to the pandemic.

  • An Orchestra Adventure (with Maestro Karl and friends)

    Join the Calgary Philharmonic and Associate Conductor Karl Hirzer for a fun and educational tour of the Orchestra! This four-part online series takes kids on a musical journey through the four sections that make up a symphony orchestra: woodwinds, strings, brass, and percussion.

  • 40th Anniversary celebration

    I lead a wonderful ensemble in Nanaimo called A Cappella Plus (sixteen singers) and this is how we celebrated our 40th Anniversary during a covid year.

     

     

     

  • Virtual Choir Performance: O Sister (Keep Us Steady Through the Storm)

    In the winter of 2021, sixteen high school singers from ten British Columbia high schools met and rehearsed online to create a virtual choir performance as the main project undertaking for the Mira Youth Mentorship, an annual community youth engagement program offered to young singers throughout the province by Elektra.
