RECONNECTING WITH YOUR CULTURE | THE SCHOOL OF THE WORLD

MISSION : In a complex historical step of our life in which capitalist priorities have strongly questioned ethical values and human relations, there is a need to put the PERSON and his CREATIVITY back at the center. The fragility, which all countries have manifested within the cultural and educational sector, has allowed developing fundamental reflections to give a “new centrality” to the role of CULTURE for the sustainable development of humanity. In fact, without Culture it becomes difficult to develop future perspectives capable of developing shared and participatory policies that are no longer entrusted to the growing individualization.

Analyzing the realities of different countries of the world, from the Far East to the far West, there is a need to activate a new “HUMANISM” and for this reason, it is necessary that Culture enters fully into the whole ideation of the new and innovation on which it is important from now on to invest.

To do all this, however, we must start from the younger generations and then plant seeds to obtain good fruits and therefore a very good harvest in the near future. We must, therefore, be able to design educational programs that can build a better world.

July 20, 2020, the international pedagogical method RECONNECTING WITH YOUR CULTURE has been activated in the world and promoted by International Research Center EdA Esempi di Architettura (Italia) in collaboration with UNESCO University and Heritage (Spain). The pedagogical method RWYC is aimed at primary and secondary schools around the world and dedicated to the young generation from 5 years old to 17 years old. The children, assisted by their teachers and parents, are invited to make an exploratory journey within the cultural heritage of their country and to draw and tell their experience of knowledge in contact with the historical, artistic, and cultural heritage. The pedagogical method also intends to enhance the disciplinary transversality and therefore the dialogue between the disciplines.

The international pedagogical method “Reconnecting with your culture” also aims to analyze the different cultural approaches and methods of analysis developed in different communities around the world to build a network and to allow the sharing of experiences and initiatives. The international pedagogical method is planned by Professor Olimpia Niglio, director of the International Research Center EdA Esempi di Architettura, with the coordination by Kevin Alexander Echeverry and supported by international cultural institutions and scientific experts.
