FUTURES/forward is a National Mentorship Program in Community-Engaged Arts for Social Change (ASC) in Association with Environmental Organizations Across Canada!

→ Are you an early to mid-career community-engaged artist who would benefit from the support of a senior ASC artist? Are you passionate about climate justice?

→ Are you a seasoned community-engaged artist interested in sharing your gifts of experience and wisdom with those newer to the field?

Prologue Arts Champion Awards

In 2016, Prologue Performing Arts launched the Arts Champion Awards to recognize educators, community leaders and presenters who work tirelessly to ensure that young people have access to performing arts experiences. The award is made annually to at least one individual who exemplifies the vision that Prologue has supported for over half a century!

Recipients of the 2020 Arts Champion Award will be acknowledged with the following:

Windsor Endowment for the Arts - Elizabeth Havelock Grant

The Elizabeth Havelock Grant in the Arts is awarded to support the professional and creative development of the mid-career artist in any discipline. This grant may be used to:

  • Sustain the artist;
  • Develop a new project;
  • Support an ongoing project;
  • Aid research and study;
  • Promote new forms of art to the general public;
  • and/or Encourage creativity and innovation.

Artists who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.

Canada Council for the Arts - Short-Term Projects - Creating, Knowing and Sharing: The Arts and Cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples

The Short-Term Projects component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional and aspiring artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives and arts/culture organizations. Grants provide support for any combination of eligible Creating, Knowing and Sharing activities for projects lasting up to 12 months.

Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grants

Grow grants support the delivery of evidence-based community projects 

Amount: From $50,000 to $250,000 per year
Term: 2 to 3 years

OTF funds local community projects that are evidence-based and drive at achieving greater impact in their community. The Grow Investment Stream focuses on three types of projects, which enable us to see positive change in our communities:

Ontario Trillium Foundation Seed Grants

Seed grants support projects that are designed to help you learn

Amount: From $5,000 to $75,000

Term: Up to 1 year

Seed grants are all about trying something new or untested, where the outcomes are unknown. 

All projects need to be focused on seeding new ideas or approaches that will drive at achieving greater impact in their community. The Seed Investment Stream focuses on four types of projects, which enable us to see positive change in our communities.
