Visual & Media Arts Education which supports innovative contemporary arts practice and celebrates authentic voices & diverse perspectives.
This year we will be in beautiful Hamilton, Ontario, right in the middle of the art hub in the downtown core. Come for the weekend, join us for the Friday Night Art Crawl, Saturday for the Key Speaker Tobi Bruce, Guest Artist Dan Bergeron and 30 workshops for educators of all levels, and stay if you wish to enjoy the Fall colours on the Niagara Escarpment.
Arts Education & Community Engagement (AECE) is a new a two-semester graduate certificate program at Centennial College designed to launch students into careers in arts education and community arts. Students will learn how to integrate their individual artistic practice in the design of pedagogically sound arts educational programming that meets the needs of diverse communities.

Visual Arts Additional Qualification Courses broaden your knowledge of visual arts education and are searching for innovative strategies that connect an integrated classroom approach. Explore through collaborative studio experiences the engaging world of the creative process to develop a portfolio of ideas, resources, and exemplars. Dramatic Arts Additional Qualifications and Additional Basic Qualifications explore drama as an art for and as a learning technique. Topics include: use of drama for conceptual development and language learning, the theory and practice of dramatic forms such as role playing and improvisation and textual interpretation to enhance student-centered learning.
