Artists in the Library grants program provides grants of $10,000 to professional artists, arts organizations and collectives working in any discipline to undertake community- engaged artist residencies in selected branches of the Toronto Public Library.

hello everyone, let's start the fall foraging season off on the right foot by learning how to make our own woven baskets. we have resources for plaiting, randing, twining, coiling, and much more!

this event is completely free and open to everyone regardless of skill level or artistic experience. supplies are provided on a first come first serve basis, but if there is something specific you want, please bring it.

the event will be outside in parc georges saint pierre in NDG, respecting social distancing measures, masks, and all covid protocols.

Summer StudioWorks Intensive

Winnipeg Studio Theatre's Summer StudioWorks is a musical theatre program offering training in "triple threat" technique: acting, singing and dance to students ages 10 and up. Since its inception in 2004, Director Brenda Gorlick has amassed the finest roster of Manitoban musical theatre specialists. Program offerings include: vocal masterclasses, dance technique, mock auditions, original and show choreography, singing and songwriting, scene work, playwrighting, improvisation, voiceover technique, cabaret work, music interpretation, and more.

2021 Online International Summer Dance Intensive

Arts Umbrella's Junior Summer Dance Intensive kicks off next month! With limited space available, it's not too late to join in on the fun!

Dancers will learn Ballet, Character and Variations with our excellent core faculty members, Sabra Perry and Katrina Cruickshank. An exciting roster of world-renowned guest artists will also be joining each week to share their extensive experience and unique approach to dance with the summer intensive participants.

9am - 4pm (Early Drop-off at 8:45am and late pick-up at 4:15pm)

Open to all kids ages 7-13

Join us at Arts Council of NewWestminster for Summer Sketching by the River during the month of August.

Local artist and experienced art teacher Sherida Charles will offer drawing tips as you capture the beauty and movement of the Fraser River.
