Wonder'neath Open Studio is a free, all ages, a drop-in art-making program that takes place in an accessible working artist studio.

The Music students of Sir John Franklin High School proudly present Red, White and Blues - a salute to the musical pioneers of the 20th century. The concert will feature music from many genres, including jazz, musical theatre, classical, rock and country. All of the school ensembles will be performing, including the Concert Band, Concert Choir and Jr. Band as well as the Instrumental, General and Choral Music classes all directed by Susan Shantora.

Join us for a free loom beading workshop with Emily Taylor at Ociciwan Contemporary Art Centre.
As part of Arts in the Garden, hosted by North Van Arts, an all ages outdoor community event, there are workshops and activities being offered in partnership with Wild Bird Trust of BC, all weekend May 27 & 28.
Experiment with mushroom inspired scents! We will explore the world of volatile molecules and open our noses by going on a scent walk. From there, we will classify mushrooms on an aromatic wheel, and engage in drawing games inspired by their aroma.
Children must be accompanied by a supportive adult.

Learn all about the relations between birds and mushrooms! Join us on a walk in the woods to observe and learn about the ecological relationships between avians and fungi, exploring how they work together to create food and habitat for each other as well as other forest life. Led by Willoughby Arevalo and Samuel MacTavish.

Set in an island world of sea breeze, rolling waves, and rollicking sea shanties, two characters meet and play together through music, song, and joyful painting! This is a beautiful production that will embrace young children with music, rich design, and gentle, mischievous play through art.
The work proposes to bring the visual arts to the stage. In a visual poem that borders on performance, it’s a small praise for JOY! Yes, yes, joy!

Spring Art Sessions SUMMERTIME BLOOMS
In this 2 hour art workshop, participants will get their hands foamy and learn how to marble paper in beautiful colours! The sheets will dry and then be used to create various types of flowers. There will be stencils and flower references available as well as plenty of imagination.
Participants will have learn the skill of marbling paper and take a small flower bloom home with them.
