This summer, students around the world can learn all about opera with the Metropolitan Opera’s Global Summer Camp. Each week, campers will discover a new opera through hands-on activities and other fun learning prompts, watch the opera, and share their work with a global community of young opera fans.

This eight-week program is available to all students, completely free of charge.

The Met’s Global Summer Camp will be hosted online. Platforms include Google Classroom and Zoom.

Members of the Met’s nationwide HD Live in Schools program will provide primary instruction, and teaching artists from the performing and literary arts will guide students in age-appropriate explorations. Campers will have the opportunity to learn from writers, artists, musicians—and even puppeteers, clowns, and bakers.

Dates: Monday through Friday, June 15–August 7
Age Range: Grades 3–12 (ages 8–18)
Cost: The Global Summer Camp is FREE for all students.
