Canada Council for the Arts - John Hobday Awards in Arts Management

The John Hobday Arts Management Awards are awarded to outstanding managers of professional arts organizations across Canada for the purpose of professional development or mentoring.

  • The professional development and resourcing award is given to an exceptional manager in the field of the arts who wishes to participate in a short-term program, a seminar or a recognized workshop.
  • The mentoring award is given to an arts manager who wishes to acquire new knowledge, skills and experience through the supervision of a mentor.

Ontario Arts Council - Indigenous Arts Projects

Purpose

The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) supports Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) creativity and celebrates the vitality of diverse cultural and artistic expression.

Indigenous Arts Projects is a multidisciplinary program supporting professional Indigenous artists, ad hoc groups, collectives, and organizations to research, develop, and create new work. The presentation and sharing of Indigenous artistic work and initiatives strengthens and enriches the arts and culture overall, while benefiting both Indigenous artists and their communities.

First Peoples’ Cultural Council - Music Program

The Music Program supports the development of B.C. First Nations music creatives and professionals residing in B.C. through grants and training programs. 

The Music Program funds activities that can lead to professional development opportunities, cultural knowledge transfer and community well-being. 

This program offers three areas of funding for artists, recording engineers and music industry professionals.

First Peoples’ Cultural Council - Arts Strengthening Program

The Arts Strengthening Program supports arts revitalization opportunities for B.C. First Nations creatives to pursue either a one-on-one arts mentorships or arts group knowledge transfer. Projects in this program focus on the transfer of essential artistic and cultural knowledge to new generations of B.C First Nations artists to support the strengthening and continuation of significant cultural practices.

Artists in Communities provides funding to organizations, professional artists, or arts professionals for projects and residencies.

Artists in Communities - Development provides small amounts of funding to organizations or professional artists to build relationships with potential partners, develop projects or residencies, and/or research community needs.

Artists in Communities is a SK Arts program supported by funding from Sask Lotteries through the partnership between SK Arts and SaskCulture Inc.
