Kamloops Arts Council - Grants and Scholarships

The Kamloops Arts Council is all about supporting the arts community. With that in mind, we offer grants and scholarships to local artists, arts groups and arts students. Funds are subject to availability.

KAC Grants

Grants to a maximum of $1,000 may be awarded to artists and arts groups twice each year. You must be a KAC member to apply.

Alberta Arts Graduate Scholarship

Arts Graduate Scholarship

The Arts Graduate Scholarship encourages and recognizes Alberta students who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in the arts to pursue graduate studies in Alberta institutions and other institutions outside Alberta. 

Value:

Up to seven scholarships of $15,000 each are available for master level or equivalent level of study in music, drama, dance and literacy/visual arts.

Exile Quarterly Fiction and Poetry Competitions

Founded in 1972 by one of Canada’s most recognized man of letters, Barry Callaghan, Exile Editions and ELQ/Exile: The Literary Quarterly specialize in finding and developing Canadian writers of fiction, poetry, drama, and non-fiction, as well as visual artists engaged in painting, photography, illustration and other fine arts disciplines.
