At this community forum, participants will explore together how to best prepare young people to learn about the history of the Holocaust and the ongoing practice of genocide in the world today.

Topics of discussion include:
- What are the implications of using art to teach history?
- What are the ethics involved in teaching and learning about traumatic events?
- What is the role of the teacher in fostering inquiry into difficult subjects?
- What place to memory and memorializing have in Holocaust education, particularly in a Canadian context?

Join us on October 16th from 5:30 – 8:30pm for a very special Eduarts Networking Hub on the theme of “Creativity for Young People” with a focus on arts in relation to teaching. In this free event, teacher-candidates from the University of Ottawa along with artist-educators and leaders in Ottawa’s arts and education community will have the opportunity to network, build connections and discover the excellent work going on in the arts and learning communities of Ottawa.
