We also believe that the arts should be available for everyone to experience, regardless of means – a focus we formalized through our award-winning Making the Arts More Accessible™ program.

ArtsNS - Mi'kmaq Arts Program

The Mi’kmaq Arts Program supports the development and continuation of Mi’kmaq art forms in the territory of Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia). Arts Nova Scotia recognizes the specific needs and practices of the Mi’kmaq arts community and acknowledges a new funding program is required. 

Arts Nova Scotia aspires for all Nova Scotians to have opportunities to engage with the art forms that derive from Mi’kmaq language, world views, practices, and protocols.

ArtsNL - School Touring Program

The School Touring Program (STP) is available to professional artists, groups, and not-for-profit arts organizations to support significant touring productions to schools throughout the province. Offered in partnership with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development through its Cultural Connections Strategy, the program provides students with direct access to high quality artistic experiences. The program covers touring costs only (i.e. travel, accommodation, per diems, artist and technician fees, tour administration, royalties, and limited rehearsal).

ArtsNL - Community Arts Program

The Community Arts Program (CAP) is available to community-based arts organizations and groups. The program funds projects related to arts workshops, presentations, productions, new creations, adjudicator fees, artist fees, and travel costs.

Eligibility:

This program is open to all artistic disciplines served by ArtsNL (dance, film, multidiscipline, music, theatre, visual arts, writing).

British Columbia Arts Council - Early Career Development

The Early Career Development Program supports early career practitioners to develop their practice through internship, cohort, residency, and mentorship opportunities. The program is intended to support the development of knowledge, learning and capacity within the sector and to create opportunities for the next generation of artists and practitioners.

The Early Career Development program supports the career development of early career and emerging practitioners through four components:

Toronto Arts Council - Open Door

Toronto Arts Council’s Open Door granting program supports projects that demonstrate innovation, provocation, creative collaboration & partnership, artistry, risk-taking, experimentation, and the sharing of knowledge and leadership. Open Door provides catalyst funding for ideas with the potential to create transformative change in the arts sector.
