Scholarship

ArtsNL is a non-profit Crown agency created in 1980 by The Arts Council Act. Its mission is to foster and promote the creation and enjoyment of the arts for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

ArtsNL receives an annual grant from the Province to support a variety of granting programs, program delivery, office administration, and communications. It also seeks support from the public and private sector. It supports the following artistic disciplines: dance, film, multidiscipline, music, theatre, visual art, and writing.

The Karen Williamson Memorial Scholarship is presented to a High School graduate who intends to pursue post-secondary studies in Theatre Arts.

The most important criteria of selection are as follows:
The candidate must have completed high school and have been accepted into a post-secondary program in the Theatre Arts.

If more than one candidate fulfills the first criteria, secondary criteria will also be assessed in order of priority.

THE FOGARTY’S COVE SCHOLARSHIP was established by Ariel Rogers and Mulgrave Road Theatre. It is based on a generous donation from Ariel Rogers of the royalty fees for the use of Stan Rogers’ songs in Mulgrave Road Theatre’s 1991 touring production FROM FOGARTY’S COVE. Due to the generous support from Ariel Rogers, the amount of the scholarship was increased from $200 to $500 in 2004.

What: The MusiCounts Band Aid Program provides under-resourced schools with grants of up to $20,000 worth of musical instruments, equipment, and resources.

The Saskatchewan Drama Association is a Provincial Cultural Organization and Professional Growth Network of the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation. Our mission is to promote the growth and development of youth drama in Saskatchewan and to promote professional development through communication and drama development programs.

The Prince Edward Arts Scholarship provides funding to students who are Saskatchewan residents and who have been accepted or have applied to study or train in arts programs at accredited post-secondary institutions or recognized arts training institutions.

This program assists BC residents with full-time arts training costs after they finish secondary school.

The Scholarship Program, the oldest program of Council, provides funding of up to $6,000 per year to outstanding arts students studying at the post-secondary level. B.C. residents attending full-time studies in a fine-arts diploma or degree program at a recognized college, university, institution or academy, in any country, are eligible to apply. Half-day high school dance programs may also be eligible.

A Scholarship Fund for Local Musicians

Purpose:

The Shelburne County Arts Council is proud to offer an art scholarship for any graduating student or graduate residing within Shelburne County. This scholarship is intended to reward arts students for past accomplishments and to encourage future pursuits in the arts.
