Join Artscape Daniels Launchpad they explore how the new Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) and Employment Insurance (EI) can provide income support to those affected by COVID-19. We’ll discuss who qualifies, how the benefit works, common questions, and some of the problems that have been coming up.
These works by Anna Lefsrud each deal with separate threads of ongoing interest in her practice—movement, changing perspectives and the blending of human, animal and bird figures.
Live Music alludes to flight, rhythm and air currents. Cork Floats continues that current with suggestions of water. The figures atop the corks then lead into the scale of Small Seven.
Miniatures can inversely open onto an expanse larger than the viewer usually occupies, with—hopefully—all the work inviting a shift in perception.

My focus within recent work has been exploring how fate can be received and understood differently from person to person, and projecting those ideas through the imagery of fortune cookies.
I find them to have a certain degree of versatility that relates to both believers and non-believers in their ability to predict the future. Their messages can be interpreted in incredibly interesting and playful ways.

While the workshops will be open to artists working in all disciplines, there will be focus placed on the performing arts due to Prologue’s organizational mandate. Pendulum Gallery, located at the heart of the city of Vancouver, BC, Canada, Art Vancouver will be exhibiting a selection of artworks created by exhibitors from the upcoming 2020 International Art Fair. Some of the artists in this exhibition include: Monica Gewurz, Elizabeth Cross, Shelley Brookes, Geoffrey Caofei Feng, Paul Yagartua, Marco Francesco, Teresa Smith, Kathy Vangogh, and others. In this exhibition, visitors will get to experience and explore art from local artists, and sample a taste of their creative talents.
Indigenous Youth (16 - 25) and Women will have the opportunity to participate in a storytelling workshop led by Yolanda Bonnell (Ojibwe - South Asian). The workshop includes warm ups, discovering the different ways a story can be told (body/movement, writing, song, or combination). Participants will find the path that suits them best and will create a 5-minute piece of theatre that will tell a specific creation story.
