Music Monday

Music Monday is a celebration of the impact of music education in our schools and in our communities.   On Monday May 1st, we will join together to celebrate music education by singing our Song of Celebration together at 12:30 pm ET.  Registration is free and will give you access to all the resources you need to teach the song to your class or learn at home.  There are numerous audio recordings, arrangements, lyric sheets, sing-a-long videos and a Learning Guide.

Her First Palestinian by Saeed Teebi – By the Lake Book Club

Teebi’s gripping collection of nine short stories dives into the lives of Palestinian immigrant characters dealing with distinct circumstances, along with their attempts to assimilate and the guilt of leaving family behind. The stories submerge the reader into this unique immigrant experience in Canada, while exploring underlying universalities.
