When Brothers Speak is Canada's largest and longest running showcase of Black, male, Spoken Word artists. Now in its 20th year, When Brothers Speak features artists from across North America, sharing their take on the Black experience. Curated by Dwayne Morgan, the 2018 edition of When Brothers Speak will feature performances from Eddie Lartey (Hamilton), Joel Francois (New York City), Luke Reece (Toronto), Andrew Tyree (Los Angeles), and Rudy Francisco (San Diego). DMXXV, celebrates Spoken Word artist, Dwayne Morgan's quarter century on stage. The author of ten poetry collections and eight albums, Morgan has performed in eighteen countries internationally, and was inducted to the Scarborough Walk of Fame for his commitment to the arts in 2013.

On October 14th, Morgan will hit the Lula Lounge stage, sharing poems that span the first twenty-five years of his career.

Room 217 Foundation is a social enterprise dedicated to caring through music. Room 217’s music care approach includes purposefully designed music care resources for vulnerable populations, education for caregivers who wish to integrate music into care practice, and a framework that will help health care organizations optimize music for person centered care.

Outside Looking In offers a high school accredited dance program providing the opportunity to Indigenous youth and their communities to engage in long-term intensive education through dance. Should youth fulfill the academic and attendance requirements of the program, youth get the opportunity to join other Indigenous youth from across Canada for two weeks in Toronto, preparing for an ultimate performance on stage to show off their talents and abilities before hundreds at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. This year's event will be hosted by CTV's Ben Mulroney.

The provoking melodies impatiently proceed the next moment of being on stage. Shahriyar Jamshidi composer, singer and well known as a creative Kurdish Kamanche improviser would like to present his new works MOMENTARY music solo for Kamanche (four strings spike-fiddle) at Canadian Music Centre the tiny and friendly music venue in Toronto.

Shahriyar's music is under influences of Kurdish, Persian and Mesopotamian.
